About the work

Description: A monochromatic representation of the full moon created from a simple childhood doodle, the curly-Q. Everywhere on planet earth people see the same side of our moon. The curly-Q motif represents the electromagnetic waves of the light cast from our sun. Each person gazing at the moon receives a different version of the moon, in a way, because each photon making up the moon's image is storied and different from every other photon due to their long journeys from sun, to moon face, to viewer's eyes. Medium: Pen on paper. Size: 9" x 12"
